Radiation Oncology
The Department of Radiation Oncology at the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center offers advanced radiation therapy technology and expertise to patients in northwest Ohio and beyond, providing sophisticated care close to home.
Our care team prioritizes quality and safety while designing customized treatment plans using highly precise, non-invasive approaches.
Advanced radiation therapy options
With our 4D PET-CT simulator, and dedicated Varian Edge radiosurgery unit, we provide a broad range of radiation therapy services. Our therapy options include:
- Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)
- Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT)
- Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)
- Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT)
Our faculty has extensive expertise in SRS and SBRT, with the ability to treat many types of tumors in the brain, lungs, spine, liver and other locations in the body, often with only one to five precise, high-dose treatments.
Our approach to care
We take a multidisciplinary team approach to diagnosing and treating cancer. Care providers from numerous specialties — including radiation oncology, medical oncology, surgery, gynecology, urology, integrative care, pain management, and nutrition — all reside under one roof at the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center. Our team of cancer specialists meets weekly to review each case and develop individualized treatment plans for each patient.
