Labs and Blood Draws
As you go through your cancer treatment, you can expect blood draws and other lab visits that your caregivers require to monitor your health.
Cancer patients can receive consultation, care and ancillary services all within the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center. Lab services include Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) biopsies with microscopic evaluation. Offering that service onsite ensures adequate tissue sampling and a faster diagnostic process.
Our clinical laboratory services include a blood draw collection site, as well as select hematology testing, such as complete blood counts (CBC) and platelets.
Lab work can sometimes mean multiple trips to strange places, treatment from unfamiliar lab professionals, and long hours or days waiting for results. But at the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Center, we’ve eliminated all the unknowns. We’re in the same building as your doctor, and within minutes of having your blood drawn, we can deliver hematology results to your physician.
