Recent Recognitions
Because we are focused on advanced care and healing for our patients, we are proud of our recent and continuing accomplishments, including:
- The University of Toledo Medical Center has earned the American Heart Association’s 2026 Get With The Guidelines - Heart Failure Gold Plus quality achievement award with Target: Heart Failure Optimal and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll designations.
- The University of Toledo Medical Center has earned the American Heart Association's 2026 Get With The Guidelines - Stroke Gold Plus quality achievement award with Target: Stroke Honor Roll and Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll designations.
- Designated as Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center by The Joint Commission in 2024.
- UTMC earned an "A" grade in the 2026-2027 Lown Institute Hospitals Index for Social Responsibility, reflecting its commitment to health equity, value of care and patient outcomes.
- Epic Systems recognized UTMC with a Good Install award and a Gold Star Level 8 for its implementation and effective use of the electronic medical record system that launched in September 2022.
