The Radiology Department
The Philips PET/CT is the only large bore PET/CT scanner in the Toledo area. It’s also the only PET/CT scanner that’s permanently installed. This scanner is designed with patient comfort in mind. “Large bore” means there’s a nice roomy area for our patients to rest comfortably for the scanning procedure. With this innovative design, we hope to eliminate claustrophobia and accommodate bariatric patients more comfortably.
MRI scanning is another powerful tool for diagnosing breast cancer. Our 3.0T MRI Vibrant technology, located in the hospital medical center, is optimal for dense breasts and for patients who have implants or are at high risk for developing breast cancer.
The mammography program at the Eleanor N. Dana Cancer Centeris accredited by the FDA and the American College of Radiology, and adheres to Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations.
