The Adult Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic at The University of Toledo Medical Center offers a range of general and specialized services designed to meet the needs of individuals and families including Behavioral Medicine Clinic, General Adult Clinic and Neuropsychology Testing Services.
We also offer a Senior Behavioral Health Program for adults aged 55 and over at the Kobacker Center.
Behavioral Medicine Clinic The University of Toledo Medical Center offers a full treatment program of stress reduction techniques including relaxation, biofeedback and psychotherapy. Treatment is tailored to the needs of each individual and the individual is very active in their own recovery.
General Adult Clinic The General Adult Clinic provides diagnostic assessment and treatment for psychiatric disorders including:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Phobias
- Adjustment Disorder
- Panic Disorder
- Bipolar Disorder
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Psychotic and Psychiatric Disorders with Substance Misuse
Neuropsychology Testing Service Clinical Neuropsychology is a specialty that focuses on brain functioning. Services include assessment and diagnosis for:
- Dementia
- Alzheimer’s disease
- Stroke
- Epilepsy
- Parkinson’s disease
- Head Injury or other conditions affecting brain function
A thorough and detailed assessment of cognitive functions (memory, abstract thinking, and problem-solving) is conducted and the pattern of strengths and weaknesses are used in making recommendations to the patient, family and patient's physicians.
Senior Behavioral Health at the Kobacker Center Senior Behavioral Health is a short-term inpatient treatment process for adults aged 55 and over who are experiencing behavioral and/or emotional problems. Learn more.
