Partial Hospitalization Program
UToledo Health’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides an intensive, structured environment to support patients on their path to recovery from substance use disorder.
The program, which runs Monday through Friday, is designed for patients who need more support than a traditional outpatient program provides but don’t require the around-the-clock care of inpatient detox or a residential treatment center.
Patients receive care from experienced, independently licensed clinicians who are dedicated to helping them build a strong foundation for recovery by providing the level of support that best meets their individual needs.
Services include:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on recognizing and changing unhelpful thoughts
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which focuses on managing intense emotions in healthier ways
- Medication-assisted therapy
- Medication management
- Care coordination
- Relapse prevention strategies
- Coping skills
- Emotional wellness groups
By receiving the right level of care, your chances of getting better improve.
PHP is typically covered by Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurance plans. In many cases, there are no co-pays. Our team will verify benefits and coordinate with your insurance provider before enrollment.
