MRI Imaging

UToledo Health offers advanced MRI imaging using both 3.0T and 1.5T wide-bore scanners.

3.0T GE Signa Premier

The 3.0T GE Signa Premier MRI provides high-resolution imaging for detailed evaluation of routine and complex conditions.

The machine’s wide-bore, quiet technology, blanket coil design and scan speed help to make patients more comfortable and allow us to complete the necessary imaging in substantially less time.

1.5T Siemens MAGNETOM Espree

The 1.5T Siemens MAGNETOM Espree provides high-quality diagnostic imaging for a wide variety of clinical applications. It also meets the needs of patients with conditionally MRI approved implants, such as stents and pacemakers.

Digital Mammography

As a MQSA-certified facility, UToledo Health offers advanced digital mammography for breast cancer screening and early detection.

Digital mammography is different from conventional mammography in that images can be adjusted after they are captured. Radiologists can zoom in, adjust brightness and contrast, and invert black-and-white tones, allowing for more detailed evaluation of areas of concern.

Digital mammography images also can be viewed in seconds, allowing the mammographer to confirm proper positioning, reducing the likelihood patients will have to return for additional images. From the patient’s perspective, digital mammography feels identical to conventional screening, though patients may notice shorter exam times and fewer call-backs for additional images.

UToledo Health uses the Hologic Lorad Selenia Digital Mammography System.

Computed tomography (CT) Imaging

Aquilion ONE ViSION 

The Aquilion ONE ViSION provides high-resolution CT imaging for a wide range of clinical applications, including neurologic, chest, abdominal, pelvic, musculoskeletal and vascular studies.

It also supports advanced cardiac CT imaging, allowing detailed visualization of the heart, its vessel walls and surrounding structures. 

PET/CT Imaging

Philips GEMINI TF Big Bore PET/CT

UToledo Health provides PET/CT imaging using the Philips GEMINI TF Big Bore system.

PET/CT combines metabolic and anatomic imaging to support evaluation of cancer and a wide range of clinical applications. 

The Philips GEMINI TF Big Bore system provides increased flexibility in patient positioning and additional space for patients with limited mobility or claustrophobia. Time-of-Flight technology supports improved image quality and efficient scan times.
