"My daughter was going to get married around the same time,” recalls Alfred Mundt of his heart transplant surgery. “Drs. Walsh, Cooper and Burkett worked with me during and following the transplant, made sure I was able to walk her down the aisle.”
Thanks to Alfred and Adela Mundts’ generous donation of $1 million, the community will have access to a state-of-the-art heart transplant facility.

“Dr. Selman was great. Everyone was so nice as far as patient care; they took very good care of me. I’m very glad he was my surgeon. The nurse coordinator for transplant, she’s very good, keeping you in touch with the social workers, the people who handle the financial situations.
