Staffed by trained general pediatricians, Rocket Pediatrics is committed to providing high-quality care to children and adolescents. We also have a great deal of experience in caring for children with disabilities and complex medical problems.
Our pediatric nurses and pediatric social worker assist the pediatricians with medical and psychosocial issues, school problems, insurance issues and other related difficulties.

We provide the following services/procedures:
- Acute and chronic illness
- Evaluation and management of common behavioral problems
- Immunization updates
- Routine physicals for school attendance, participation in sports and employment
- Reach Out and Read of Northwest Ohio program provides books at every well check for kids ages 6 months - 5 years
- A “get acquainted” visit can be arranged free of charge for expecting parents
Rocket Pediatrics offers access to on-site pediatric cardiology consultation services, and off-site access to a full range of pediatric cardiologic diagnostic and therapeutic modalities including fetal, adult congenital and pediatric echocardiography, stress testing, holter monitoring, and therapeutic and diagnostic cardiac catheterization.
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology physicians are board certified in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology and staff northwest Ohio’s Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps Program for pediatric cardiology and cardiovascular surgery. All insurance plans are accepted.

- Ruppert Health Center, 3125 Transverse Drive, Toledo, Ohio
- 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday
Insurance Accepted
UTMC participates in many health insurance plans and several governmental fee-for-service programs. Patients should always verify UTMC participation with their health plan benefit package before receiving health-care services.
We accept most commercial insurances as well as Medicaid products. If you are considering our practice, please call for specific insurance information. We are committed to children and adolescents and will work with families who do not have insurance. Patients treated by Rocket Pediatrics practice can be admitted to UTMC for minor surgical procedures.
