Billing and Insurance Information
The University of Toledo Physicians Financial Services handles all of the billing for our multi-specialty physician group. Our team works to ensure that your claims are submitted to the appropriate payers and provides follow-up services.
All patients seen by our physicians are eligible for our assistance in collecting payment from their insurance companies, managed care organizations and HMO’s for their medical charges.

University of Toledo Physicians Financial Services collects medical charges from the physicians who have treated you and submit s them to your insurance carrier. We work with you to ensure that insurance billing is processed correctly. We collect your portion or self payment and apply it against your balance.
In addition to insurance claim submission to the patient’s insurance carrier, follow- up and collection by our experienced staff, we also provide a 24 hour automated payment system for making credit card payments.
If you see a physician in a University of Toledo Medical Center outpatient clinic, you may receive a billing statement for the physician's fees and one for the hospital facility and/or clinic fees.
Ultimately you are responsible for payment of your bills. However, we will be happy to help you file for insurance benefits. We will also work with you on financial arrangements designed to make payment of medical bills easier. Please call if we can help you.
