Care Innovation and Community Improvement Program
The Care Innovation and Community Improvement Program was created by the Ohio Legislature in 2018. CICIP is a Quality Improvement Program backed by the Department of Medicaid and the program includes four teaching hospitals throughout the state of Ohio. To participate in the program, each institution had to agree to improve care for all low income Ohioans and curb the financial and human cost of the Opioid Epidemic. Through this program, we are currently expanding access to Primary Care, Behavioral Health, and Substance Use Treatment. In addition to expanding existing services, we are currently establishing an Alternative Pain Rehabilitation Program, which will provide treatment and education for managing pain without narcotic medication.
