Inpatient treatment program goals
- To decrease psychiatric symptoms and improve functioning of the patient in his or her family, school, and community
- To ensure continued treatment outside the inpatient setting upon discharge
Our philosophy of care
The adolescent psychiatry staff believe family involvement is key to a teen's successful treatment. To develop a treatment plan, staff incorporate information from family members about the adolescent's problems. Families are encouraged to communicate regularly with team members and attend treatment team meetings.
The team has developed integrated treatment options, which have proven to be successful in treating emotional distress among adolescents.
