Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency

The University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) is proud to offer an accredited Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency for licensed physical therapists.  This residency will offer integrated learning experiences between UTMC, The University of Toledo’s Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, and The Rehabilitation Hospital of Northwest Ohio.  This program brings together the strengths of all institutions to offer high-quality learning opportunities, and is designed to advance the clinical and scientific knowledge, clinical skills and teaching effectiveness of physical therapists with a specialized interest in neurologic care.

Our mission is to prepare residents in the advanced clinical practice of neurologic physical therapy as a clinical specialist committed to improving the human condition through advanced clinical practice.  Graduates demonstrate advanced knowledge in neurologic concepts through the integration of evidence-based practice and advanced clinical skills.  The program seeks to develop clinicians who will contribute to the physical therapy profession and to the health-care system through specialized practice, professionalism, lifelong learning, teaching and service.
